Yeh hai Kabul ..... najaaa

A hot tuesday afternoon n me wid my pals decided to watch da new movie on da block "Kabul Express". I had no facinations or expectations abt dis one, but still had heard dat it was good movie. So 5 frens ended up at Thakur Cinema ..... now owned by Fame, so Fame Thakur. Well, even after bein taken over by FAme it still dons da same ol look. Now, comin back to da film. My personel opinion is dat its a "Theek Thaak" movie. Not a big impressive one.

A Bolyywood movie ranging for 2 hrs, without ne songs, dat sounds a bit wierd. Accept RGV not many ppl have treid dis formula. But Kabul tries dis one. Again u get to see da dam Yash Raj logo. Man these guys r producing almost 80% of da films, does Bolyywood mean YR Films? C'Mon wher r da other ppl.

The movie is in da OK category. Ofcourse not matching the so called Hip generated behind it. Arshad Varsi continues to impress, & has a couple of killer one liners for da bored audience. John Abraham & Linda Arsenio r simple in da movie for their looks. No charcterisation or place to show their skills. Salman Shahid and Hanif Humghum are quite good.

The story revolves around 2 journalist (John & Arshad - da cameraman) who have landed up in Afghanistan post 7/11 for an exclusive story. Their is however no justification as to how n why they jus end up here through a helicopter without ne guide & how do they only find a single journalist dats da American conterpart in a place which is full of "Breaking News". These Indian journalist end up being taken hostage.

Apart frm couple of scenes da movie fails to grip public attention. You don see ppl walking out of da movie, but dats coz da movie is hardly for 2 hrs. However, Kabir Khan has told a story from his heart, and what is important is that his heart is in the right place.

All in all a good movie with O performances. However I was not satisfied while walking out of fame Thakur. It was not worth spending my precious afternoon for this thing.
