Mr. Lal ... koi hume aapse bachaye

Finally last week after lot of efforts our Cricket Team managed to win Couple of series. (they were played in INDIA). It was a gr8 feeling , team celebrating after sometime. It even marked the comeback of Dada n Yuvraj, so was even better. I was expecting Yuvraj to be Man of the Match n Dada to be Man of the Series, so was waiting eagerly for the presentation ceremony. And to my utter disbelief the man with the mike was Arun Lal.

This man has been patrolling the Indian commentary box for the past 1 year & I was desperately trying to figure out 'What spell has this guy cast to be still being present there ???'.

Now back to the presentation ceremony ... Man of the Match was not given to Yuvraj, but to a Sri Lankan debutant. That guy had played pretty well n actually deserved dat bit. He cudnt speak the Queen's Language n summoned his captain to translate the bit. And on the other side of the Mike we had our humble Indian ... mr. Arun Lal.

He just twists the already funny English to make it funnier. When he was calling the Sri Lankan captain I thought he was summoning some one for a court hearing. On another instance he was praising MS Dhoni. "Dhoni not only has Strong arms ... he even has Strong thighs .... Strong back & Strong Stomach". For God's sake whts a Strong Stomach supposed to be. Another instance was even more breathtaking , whne Mr.Lal was giving a pitch report he said ... "i just spreaded my fingers on the pitch".... wow some New words to learn.

Many such instances just leave me in splits ... like one where he described a Bastman to be having a Beautiful Leg. Only God can explain why these TV Channels keep on calling him to entertain Cricket lovers in a differnt way ... or may be it is their way of competing against Mandira Bedi.

Terrific Signal

Two days ago I found myself seated in Vile Parle's SunCity along wid my coll buddies watchin da so very talked about film regarding da triology - Traffic Signal. Indeed need to say a pretty good film ...... nice concept very well put through ...... but I was a bit uncomfortable watchin it .... ofcourse due to da language a some realistically filmed situations. My luck coz I was wid some female frens n hoped dat a uncomfortable seat on which I was seated wud gulp me into it.

But true to its core salute to Madhur .... a gr8 movie boss. Acting wise evrybody rocks .... even Charsi played by Ranvir is decent. While watchin da film i traced back on da memories when I had visited Madhur's Set....

It was a normal Wednesday morning. Morning 7 AM ... my cell rang .... it was my fren who had called in to ask whether I wanted to meet da Director of Realistic Films - Madhur Bhandarkar. Bunking da coll was da only sacrifice i had to do n i was on da classy sets. Got a life time chance to interact wid Madhur. A very pleasant guy ... (atleast wid me) talked me over n showed arnd da sets. Well I had met all those ppl u now see in da theatre acting as Beggars n Slum Dwellers. Was a Once in a Life experience .....

All of a sudden I was broken frm my thought process by fren's striking words - "Movie acha tha ... End me maar di". Da movie was over. A nice movie but a unexpected end ... definitely not Bollywood Ishstyle.

Do visit da theatre n watch this one ....... n give it a thought ...
(Jus cant think a proper ending for this post .... pretty similar as Madhur's latest work AN ABRUPT ENDING.)

Nose blowin hard

Dil mein Chaain nahi ...
Ratho ko neend nahi ...
Ang - ang mein dard wahi ...
Jee naa lage kahi ...
Aye khudaa kya yahi pyar hai ???

Khuda bola : Nahi beta ......... Yeh toh "Winter Fever" ki shuruat hai.
.
..
...

Yes dats da recent talk of da town. Everywhere I go there is atleast a single person hit wid dis newly found disease. And each one of them has an advice for you as to how u can keep away frm it. "Stay away frm da blowin cold wind" said my mechanic. Take a Crocin wid boiling hot water" was my hairdresser's advice. "Dont eat outside" was my mom's prompt suggestion. I jus wanna ask .... if u knew this, how come did u get it ???

My famous hairdresser ..., my Bike mechanic ..., my Gym trainer ..., my Girl ...... everyone has both ... da fever n da advice. "Everyone in da city seems to b sick n how come u r da only one who seems to b OK ?" said my MOM ........... Achhoooooo came da reply.

Gone are the days!!! .... A must read forward frm my Mailbox

Gone are the days!!! My Friends

When

The school reopened in June,

And we settled in our new desks and

benches!

When we queued up in book depot,

And got our new books

and notes!

When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet

managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.

We learnt writing with

slates and pencils, and

Progressed To fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips!

When we began drawing with crayons and evolved to

Color pencils and finally sketch pens!

When we started calculating

first with tables and then with

Clarke's tables and advanced to

Calculators and computers!

When we chased one another in the

corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms

Drenched in sweat!

When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors,

Playgrounds,

under the trees and even in cycle sheds!

When all the colors in the world,

Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays!

When a single P.T. period in the week's Time Table,

Was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons!

When cricket was played with writing pads as bats,

And Neckties and socks rolled into balls!

When few played

"kabadi" and "Kho-Kho" in scorching sun,

While others simply played

"book cricket" in the

Confines of classroom!

Of fights but no conspiracies,

Of Competitions but seldom jealousy!

When we used to

watch Live Cricket telecast,

In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks!

When few rushed at 3:45 to

"Conquer" window seats in our School bus!

While few others had "Big Fun", "peppermint",

"kulfi", " milk ice !" and "sharbat !" at 4o Clock!

Gone are the days

Of Sports Day,

and the annual School Day ,

And the one-month long

preparations for them.

Gone are the days

Of the stressful Quarterly,

Half Yearly and Annual Exams, And the most

enjoyed holidays after them!

Gone are the days

Of tenth and twelfth standards, when

We Spent almost the whole year writing revision tests!

We learnt,

We enjoyed,

We played,

We won,

We lost,

We laughed,

We cried,

We fought,

We thought.

With so much fun in them, so many friends,

So much experience, all this and more!

Gone are the days

When we used

to talk for hours with our friends!

Now we don't have time to say a 'Hi'!

Gone are the days

When we played games on the road!

Now we

Code on the road with laptop!

Gone are the days

When we saw stars

Shining at Night!

Now we see stars when our code doesn't

Work!

Gone are the days

When we sat to chat with Friends on grounds!

Now we chat in chat rooms.....!

Gone are the days

Where we

studied just to pass!

Now we study to save our job!

Gone are the days

Where we had no money in our pockets and still fun filled on our
hearts!!

Now we have the atm as well as credit card but with an empty heart!!

Gone are the days

Where we shouted on the road!

Now we don't shout even at home

Gone are the days

Where we got lectures from all!

Now we give lectures to all... like the one I'm doing now....!!

Gone are the days

But not the memories, which will be

Lingering in our hearts for ever and ever and

Ever and ever and ever .....

Gone are the Days. But still there are lot more Days to come in our
Life!!

NO MATTER HOW BUSY YOU ARE ,

DONT FORGET TO

LIVE THE LIFE THAT STILL

EXISTS
